Individual Therapy in Redondo Beach

Sometimes, life looks fine on the outside- you’re functioning, keeping up with responsibilities, maybe even smiling when you’re supposed to. But inside, it feels very different. You might be running on empty, carrying unspoken pain or quietly wondering why certain patterns keep repeating in your relationships.
Therapy offers a place to slow down and turn toward what’s really happening within you. It’s not about fixing yourself; it’s about making space for the parts of you that feel tired, overlooked, or unheard. In our work together, you’ll have room to sort through the weight you’ve been carrying and begin to feel more connected to yourself and the people around you.

about me

I am Croatian born and raised licensed marriage and family therapist in Hermosa Beach, CA providing in person and virtual therapy to adults and couples. I work with my clients on rewriting their stories, so they can live their lives by design rather than by default. I’ll help you rewrite the way you think and feel about your relationships with yourself, the world, and those around you.

Couples come to see when they need help working through infidelity, building and rebuilding trust, communication difficulties, conflict issues, relational traumas, intimacy issues, difficulty connecting, avoidance and shutting down, jealousy, lack of physical and emotional connection, parenting... I also offer premarital counseling as well as two days weekend intensives for couples.

Individual clients often need help with overcoming trauma, shame, hopelessness, fear, divorce or parenting, existential wonder, difficulties setting boundaries, childhood neglect, learning how to trust themselves, self-worth, letting go, feeling and being comfortable with who they are, relational issues, childhood wounds, self sabotaging, loss and grief, religion/ spirituality, family and family of origin, and many more.

In my practice, I incorporate narrative, psychodynamic, family systems, Imago, somatic, and attachment theory through a trauma-informed lens.

Who I am.

We might be a good fit If...

You look like you have it together, but inside you feel overwhelmed, anxious or on edge most of the time.

We might be a good fit If...

You grew up in a family where your role was to take care of everyone else, and now it feels nearly impossible to slow down and listen to your own needs.

We might be a good fit If...

You’ve achieved a lot in your career or personal life, but no matter what you accomplish, there’s still a sense of emptiness or “not enough.”

We might be a good fit If...

You notice the same painful patterns playing out in your relationships whether it’s pulling away, chasing closeness or shutting down, and you’re tired of feeling stuck.

We might be a good fit If...

You want to feel close to people, but vulnerability feels risky, and part of you worries you’ll be rejected or misunderstood if you open up.

We might be a good fit If...

You avoid conflict until it builds up inside you, leaving you resentful or disconnected from people you care about.

We might be a good fit If...

You sometimes cope by staying busy, overworking or numbing with distractions because slowing down feels too uncomfortable.

We might be a good fit If...

You crave deeper connection with yourself, your partner or your community, but you aren’t sure what steps to take.

We might be a good fit If...

You’re ready to look at the deeper roots of your struggles instead of just pushing through or pretending you’re fine.

Understanding your story: We’ll trace how your early relationships shaped the way you see yourself and others, and how those patterns still show up today.

Instead of pushing feelings aside, we’ll learn how to notice, name, and work with them in a way that feels grounding. You’ll practice tuning in without getting overwhelmed, so emotions feel more like information than a threat. Over time, this helps you respond to yourself with more clarity, steadiness, and compassion.

Together, we’ll build tools that help you move through anxiety, overwhelm or shutdown so you feel steadier inside. You’ll learn how to notice when your body is activated and gently bring yourself back into regulation. Over time, feeling calm and grounded becomes more accessible even in moments that are overwhelming.

We’ll practice identifying your needs and expressing them clearly without guilt, fear or apologizing for who you are. You’ll learn how to speak from a more confident and grounded place even in moments that feel intimidating or uncomfortable. Over time, advocating for yourself can feel more natural and supportive rather than something you have to brace for.

Therapy will give us a safe place to untangle the impact of family dynamics, relational trauma, and past hurts that may still be shaping how you move through the world. Together, we’ll understand how those experiences show up in your patterns, your reactions, and the way you protect yourself. With time, you can create new ways of relating to yourself and others that feel freer, safer, and more aligned with who you are now.

Beyond insight, you’ll begin to experiment with new behaviors and choices that bring you closer to the life and relationships you want. We’ll explore what feels supportive and what no longer fits, so you can move with more intention and confidence. Over time, these small shifts create real change in both how you show up and in what becomes possible for you.
